360 exchange help

hi guys got a 360 off ebay for a mateit plays dvd's and xbox 1 games fine but is very fussy with genuine 360 games maybe 1 in 10 times boots the game otherwise boots to a screen telling me to insert a xbox 360 game in drive.

the 360 is unmodded and unopened with a december 05 manufacture date

microsoft wont touch it because im not the registered owner and its more than 2 months out of warranty.

i do have a receipt for my own 360 from game which i bought in january will they check serial numbers and manufacture date if i take it back ?

or can i get the laser/drive repaired?

i would speak to pizzaman on here mate, but sounds to me like the lazer is fooked. but as i say the pizzaman is the god of 360s and their faults so maybe pm him

Check your ebay account, ring MS and tell them the details of the person u bought it off.
Then moan like fuck but be polite and being a launch machine they may do it for you.

cheers does it matter what drive i have or are lasers standard?

lasers same just swap with diff guide arm
1 screw and swapped ova

I had this fault with my samsung drive. I read that some of the early samsungs had faulty motors and weren't able to spin up the 360 discs fast enough sometimes. I got M$ to repair mine tho.

thanks for the hep guys i did a case swap and took it to game they swapped it no problem didnt even check receipt so ive got a shiny new 360
