Default Any docs about.. lol ?? A mole changing

Ok, i am not in the habit of running to the doc every 2 days but recently went because of a mole on my neck. First off it started bleeding, last monday, (i dont know if i caught it with my necklace or it just started), anyway, the doc said it looked like a normal mole, and i shouldnt worry.
In the past 2 days it has become a little SMALLER, turning from a brown to pinky colour.. Should i go back to the doctors, or would i be wasting his and my time ?
I have heard of moles getting larger, but not smaller ??

(Edit, i do apologise for adding this to the wrong forum, can someone please move to the clinic)

Move the thread yourself chick cos you are a VIP you should be able to do it.

The mole thing is a strange one. I have one on my neck that I catch every so often and my quack said he could whip it off if I wanted it doing but I ain't had the time yet. If you think it may be turning malignant I would ask them to remove it anyway for peace of mind. I remember seeing somewhere that a bleeding mole was a bad sign but not on a medical site.

Yes, i have read that too, but he said it was fine at first.. He said it didn't look like it was malignant. But now it is getting smaller, i wondered if anyone has had this happen? Should i be worried? I will go tonight just to make sure, but i don't fancy getting it burned off!!

Get your doctor to do a biopsy just to be sure. He may be reluctant to do it but it's your neck not his, so push him on it if he starts putting you off.

Buhahahahaha, was that before or after you'd inserted your studded gloved fist into it's rectum?

Buhahahhahahahahaha. No it was as a result of an overzealous session with the duct tape to stop the damn thing bursting but the edge of the tape was a little sharp for the poor bugger. Bless.....

go and get your doctor to take it off. They send most away to be checked anyway. I had this little wart come on my fore head. Whipped it off in about 5 mins at my local clinic and they said they would send it off to be checked as precaution. So if you are heading down to the docs for a bi opsy you may as well just have the whole thing done

I often wonder why people don't have unsightly moles removed, especially from their faces. A birthmark is different but I am talking about those little brown buds that folk have. For example there's a bird on the current series of The Apprentice who's a got one like a Rice Crispie under her right nostril. Surely every time she blows her nose she must catch it? Why not just have it whipped off at the docs?

    Because its not that simple.

My missus had exactly that which you describe and after going in to see a breast cancer specialist for a check up (all OK by the way) he asked if she had ever considered having it removed?

He booked he in for a removal and she went in a few months later for day surgery to have it removed.

Its a bit more involved than just slicing it off re: a wart.

Off it went for a biopsy and all was OK, snap, crackle & pop!

Back to the OP I think its recommended that any mole that changes appearance either in size/ shape or starts to bleeds should be checked out.

Well i did go to the docs, and he assured me it was ok, just to go back if it changes in size or colour.. A few days later, it turned pink and was getting smaller. So i went again
He said to me, they only really worry if it changes colour to a DARKER colour, and if it gets BIGGER. Smaller is not a concern as he said about mine because it was a round shape and had not changed shape! So all is fine. However if it did get irregular or darker i have to go back again!
