thanks mate, just did this, it worked fine although i sat with my arse nipping for bout 15 mins! seems to run faster now and hasnt rebooted on me yet, although i dont like the generic theme which has replaced the orange one but hey, u cant have everything - i would rather it worked properly than looked good! thanks
slightly off topic but hopefully someone who knows what they on about will answer - do i have to buy a license now? i just ran the maps prog and said it can use my wifi connection to update but then it wanted me to buy a license? if thats the case - fuck that - i would rather pay for tom tom than the buggy shit thats on there!!
Dont bother with the Nokia maps software its a bag of crap and not as good as tomtom use the tomtom posting which Russ has posted and use an external Gps antenna until the write the patch that will use the built-in gps.

thanks lads, i appreciate it!
I have just done this to my Vodafone N95 but I don't think it worked.
I ran NSS and followed the instructions and it said done when it had finished.
I then ran NSU and it checked the FW and said it was up to date but I could do a restore. I restored it but I still have Vodafone logos on the phone.
Is this normal? What have I done wrong?

ok, do a read from first then it will show what product code is on,then change it, had the same problem when it said there was no need for an update. Changing the product code (think you gotta check the box next to it aswell) then run the update and you will begin to dl the fw (about 111meg)
In NSS it says product code is 0536062
I then open NSU and it says FW up to date (or words to that effect)

Anyone got the product codes for a N70 please.
spoonrage
any one has got the product code for e65 n 6288
ok i've upgraded the firmware to the latest version...got rid of o2...it now says clock instead of the O2 internet on the right shoulder button...
Is it possible to change this?
The themes are crap tho...i liked the o2 one that came with it...anyone got any themes that are nicer than the standard nokia ones?
If you go in to personalization and then to shortcut keys you can put what ever you like there mate.
Ive got some themes from here get the most recent ones on there as the older ones have a tendency to be expired!
