Anyone know the product code that I should use on a Nokia 6300 that is on o2? I have seen 2die4's post on the previous page but I can't make any sense of it.

I managed to get NSS to see my new phone. It would seem that the Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver is the problem, so have a look for "nokia_connectivity_cable_driver_rel_6_81_1_eng" on Google.
I installed that version of the driver, then Nss and it was able to work properly after that.
Hopefully this helps someone else.

Has anybody done this for a N95 8GB? If so does the VOIP features work now as their customer services told me its locked from the sim card aswell?
IMac, MacBook Pro, Ipad 2, Iphone 4, Iphone 3GS....Oh and a PC or 2 knocking about
Anyone confirm this method works for N95 8gb and which code I should be using? Ta.
Hi,
I upgraded my N73 to the music edition and I've found this firmware really buggy. My camera hangs and flickers back and forth to the main screen and I sometimes get hanging when opening texts.
What would be the best thing to do as I'm not sure if I can go back to the standard edition or I believe theres a code for the 'Black edition'
Many thanks in advance,
James
PS, I am now on firmware version V4.0812.4.2.1

I think the "black edition" is the Music Edition of the N73. You can always try changing the product ID (using NSS) to one of the following and then running the Nokia updater.

Hi,
I'm sure I read somewhere that you can't downgrade to an earlier firmware revision, or is that incorrect?
Thanks,
James
You can't downgrade to a lower firmware using the Nokia updater. I think the only way to downgrade to an older firmware is using a specific unlocking box to do it. I'm sure some GSM experts on here will confirm that.
I've just checked the Nokia website and the latest firmware for a normal N73 is this:
Latest available software for Nokia N73, product code 0527009
Version: 4.0812.4.0.1
So not sure if it will work. Sorry m8
hi guys

thanks!!
Doesn't it void the warrenty??
No mate, just copy the number that's originally on the phone then once you debrand put it back in...
I had no problems with 3 I sent back
are we still on version 21.0.0.16 firmware for the n95????
I've just had a N95 replaced on Orange.
When I tried to change the product code (with NSS), but it kept coming up with "Read errors"
This turned out to be a connectivity problem..
After a couple of hours looking on the net, managed to find the solution.
The solution is make sure you have the very latest version of NSS. (ending .14 at the moment) Worke a treat
Just thought i'd pass on the info
its v30 now
