Tryingto Read a Samsung M28 drive

Hi all
I am trying to read a Samsung M28 drive but I am unshure what to do.

I have used a Xtreame Boot disk USB, have the drive connected to my PC using the sata lead and also have the VGA cable in and the power supply on.

The PC boots from the Boot disc and then I type in xRead XXXXXXX XXXXX (Serial Number) and I get the following

1) ICH5 PRIM MASTER
2) ICH5 PRIM SLAVE
3) XTREME PRI MASTER
4) XTREME PRI SLAVE
Which drive do I choose?
The PC Motherboard is a ASRock P4i65G
Or should I use some other program.
I dont want to trash the console

You need to disconnect all drives via sata and ide. So floppy disk, cd-rom etc oh and your hard drives too.

This will make things simple.

As above - disconnect every other device: cd/dvd drive, every hard drive, everything apart from the 360 drive - makes things safer all round and less chance of error.

and remember before you make your seclection - power off the drive - make selection - count to 12 - power on and then mtkflash will start working. same goes for flashing

u r using a pci sata card aint ya ?

you cant really do any damage from reading a drive it will most likely be master one, weird mine just sais extreme

Thanks for the replys.
All the drives are disconected and only the xbox is conected.
It may be the onboard Sata controller,
Tried all 4 options but nothing.
Will buy a PCi sata card and then have another go.

I have read some posts and also have downloaded the idiots guide and read that but it didnt say anything about the 4 options i have, thats why i asked.

Hi all.
Well after a few hours , some headache tabs and a few stellas I finaly made it.
Had loads ot trouble even with The PCi card.
Must have spent about 8 hours in total trying to sort it
Wouldnt install properly, then when sorted that out would not boot from USB
In the end I put the PCI card in my PC and it was plain sailing after that.
