    Help Rusty metal stair railings

    Hi

My project according to mrs furry is to get the dividing metal fence between me and neighbour and our long stair railings rust free and painted this summer.

had a bash with a wire brush, then a wire brush attachement for a drill but it aint shifting it in a hurry. me m8 has a 10bar compressor i can borrow and was wondering if anyone knew if i could buy/hire some sort of sand/shot blasting kit to use with it. as i dont fancy doing this for weeks

    any info tips appreciated

Versatile kit in robust metal for cleaning small areas of rust, paint and contaminated surfaces. Uses air power and abrasive sand. Kit includes 4 different nozzles, media collection bag and pot of blast media.
I think its gonna be graft whichever way you do it mate, unless you can remove it and get it to some acid bath type place which will be able to strip it for you.

You'll need something a lot more industrial than this. I had a look at HSS and they didn't seem to do anything.

I agree with Blacksheep. It's going to be hard work however you do it.

Here's hammerite's info on your job.
