    Default london for a night

    hi
was looking at taking the missus to london in mid june , just sat to sunday and would like some where to stay in a nice area pref somewhere on circle line and somewhere near some places to get a nice meal out at night, not to dear though LOL.
was thinking of about £100 for the room , don`t want to go much higher as the train fare is another £50 on top and she hasn`t started spening anything yet.
i know london a bit from working there a few years ago but was wondering if you can still get a pre paid ticket for the tube and how much it cost.
    any advice would be appreciated
    cheers
    Oh f@ck it!

you seen the ryan air offer in biggies? Take her abroad and from the £50 originally earmarked for train travel you'll save enough to pay for, well something.

Drury Lane is theatre district, so just on the edge of Covent Garden. You can walk from Drury Lane to Leicester Square in 10-15 minutes, so its pretty much central to where I would think you want to be.

If you get a decent enough hotel the concierge service will hold onto your bags for you, otherwise there's this:

    http://www.excess-baggage.com/statio...hp#kings_cross

No idea what they charge though. My train in the morning usually "parks" (terminates?) at the platform right next to the one at Waterloo so I'll see if they advertise a price list there, I can't see one on the site (but I'm not looking too hard!). Got to say they look very pleasant and reliable though.
