Help needed - 80's sitcom

Can anyone remember the name of an old sitcom. Think it was on BBC, all we can remember is it had a running storyline with the dad of the family frequently going into his shed, in which he had a little distillery. Can't remember when, can't remember who, just the bloody shed with the distillery

I don't think it was either of those. I seem to remember the man in question being a bit older, balding. It might be "No place like home", but it deffo wasn't the Peter Davidson one!

EDIT: No, that was definitely the one Steve! Its the wrong character picture on the link above, but thats definitely the one! The main actor was William Gaunt:

could it be bless this house with SID JAMES.from the carry on films???
i remember something about him making home brew whisky in the shed.i think it blow up in one episode.
