vista activation

ive had my copy of vista installed since it was released and used the method of activiating it with a beta key and replacing it with files from the beta vista, all is good but ive just realised ive got 5 days left to activate it as the beta key is expiring, ive got the activation patch from the sticky but it comes up as failed to install, so i need to find a method of getting it activated for longer! if anyone can help that would be great!

I had to re-install my copy without a key (reformat jobby) and then run the Paradox activation before it installed any updates.

Once that is done, you can install all updates and software again.

ahh i dont have time to do that right now with exams coming up, someone must have a method of prolonging the activation for another 30 days or so?

Try this in your registry. Type: "services.msc".

5║- When the box open, serch for the files: "SL UI" and "SOFTWARE LICENSING SERVICE"

6║- Doubleclick on "SL UI" and you see the box open.

7║- In the box, click on "START" and choose "DISABLE". Now, click on "APPLY" and "OK". Close the box.

8║- Doubleclick on "SOFTWARE LICENSING SERVICE" and the box open.

9║- In the box, click on "START" and choose "DISABLE". Now, click on "APPLY" and "OK". Close the box.

10║-Restart your system.
This registry solution keeps my system happy, I can only wait and see for how long. Goodluck
