Hey,

After seeing the london 2012 logo shambles, my kid brother (13) said he could knock something up 100x better, as many millions have also cliamed.

However, he just sent me the picture below, excuse the low quality as its a scan from his art book.

I was quite shocked and thought it was a bloody good effort and looks fairly decent for his first sketch at it.

Got me thinking and i have a couple of questions for you all.

1. Have you seen this logo or similar design anywhere before?

If you have seen a simialr, link to the source please.

2. Anyone half decent with photoshop able to "computerize" that image?

Anyway, I've done a little digitization for you - just redone the whole thing though rather than trying to use the orignal as a mask to get all the proportions as per the drawing - I;m sure this doesn't matter anyhow!

Was just a quickie thrown together - sure someone on here will be able to pull something better out!
Dunno what it'll blow up like (it's about 550 by 720 pixels if I remember correctly) and it's not in the right proportions to scale exactly but I'm sure you can do something with it, lol.

Perhaps someone could do you a vector based one then you'll be fine whatever size is requied...?

mine is vector (illustrator) then coloured in in photoshop cos I didnt know how to do it properly in AI lol

Yeah never knew that either. I think i missed the rings as I was basing it on the original and that wasnt coloured.

So John/elwood - if you can sort me out the best copy of the image with the 'best' spec to print out on A3 - would be much appreciated

well you could use this as a start, its vector so will scale to whatever size you need, then just colour it in. if you need any help i'll do it tommorow.
