with a bit of luck you might be able to open it up and take the small battery out and then try it again. if its on an eeprom, i have no idea mate... can anyone help?
If its an eeprom you have to take it out make a reader get the data off it and there was some aussie guy that a mate had used that could get the password from - not the easiest soloution.
would but not the sharpest tool in the box says he forgot it ........
check the model number cross with a master bios password / password reset on a google and you might just find it's a really bad form of protection
failing that, you may have to open it and do the battery thing, or if you can, set a cmos jumper which will have the same effect (reset bios/cmos).
It''s been a while since I've had to do it, last time, I just baned in something as lame as root and it went past, root being a default password in my case.
I'm new to this
If you still need the help, there is a jumper on the motherboard that you just need to set to erase the setting on the Bios. this dosen't wipe the bios but just remove the password and any custom settings.
Basicly it revert to factory settings, I hope that helps
and my bad should of read all the post fully "What now" already said it.
if i have to dissassemble down to mainboard then i'll cross my fingersand give it a go ... tell u how i get on
tried to find the reset for my model and eventually gave up thanks for the help people ...
