Samsung 42" Rear Projection TV problem

Hi people,

I have a 42" rear projection TV and the other day it was all out of whack and the convergence was messed up. I turned the TV off and the next day turned it on and had the remote in hand to sort out the convergence issue.

Trouble is noting will happen now.

The red power light flickers on and you hear the buzz start up sound, but nothing comes on the screen. I checked the back and no bulbs are coming on either.

Any ideas how I can get this sorted as I'm without a TV at the moment :o

i'd ask over at AV forums mate, when i had issues wuth my Sony RP i got some good advice there, they have a dedicated section for RPTV i think.

why not just phone a local repair shop up, sounds to me mate as if u got a fault, which only an engineers could help.

Bulb blown? Rear projection is basically a projector with a screen, and the bulbs have a life span, albeit a lot longer than normal projectors

I don't think it's the bulbs as none of them are coming on.
