Help Heart Rate Watches (Polar ones)

I'm looking at getting a heart rate monitor watch, all the machines at my gym use polar, do I have to get a polar watch or are there compatible watches (that will be cheaper ?) anyone got any suggestions, at the moment I'm looking at the Polar F6 as I can upload to the computer too, although that's not a vital option just a nice feature

Shame mate, as I posted this deal a while back and the watch is a belter.

You must go for one with a chest strap, as it will give much more accurate readings.

It was a bloody bargain, I think Mav got one too. It's very robust, I feel a bit like James Bond/Daniel Craig when I'm wearing mine...to the point that sometimes when I'm out running, I scamper over an unsuspecting persons garden wall, dive, judo roll, then spring to my feet and karate chop them in the wind pipe.

Yeah, I'd not long previously bought another one but that was a great buy. I seem to remember a thread where the topic of heart rate increases while wanking was brought up
