Starting games crashes my PC

If the second error is Error Type 59 (in event log) then it's linked to your permission settings. You'll need to mess about with them if you want to try resolve it.

The problem you are having however, still sounds like a GFX issue. I suggest you beg, borrow or steal a GFX card to test in your machine.

Yeah as above - get hold of anything, a GeForce440mx would do just to test the system, and it will instantly tell you whether its your card or something on your system...

In regards to the admin permissions etc - the account your using has full admin rights?
Not that it would make your PC restart tho....so don`t think it`s that.

Have you done a system clean?
ie. Run ad-aware, ccleaner, avg etc to make sure you have no nasties, cleanup registry, msconfig etc..?

something magical has happened, i took my computer apart, cleaned out and reattached the cpu fan, and put the ram in the other two ram slots i have on my motherboard, and now my games are running fine!!

sometimes you get whats called 'socket creep' i think with temperatures rising high and falling (when off) componenets slowly move in n out the sockets over time.

my pc crashes when i try and play a memory/gfx heavy game, or if i try and do 3,4 or 5 things at once whilst having winamp running etc, and when it restarts i get "the system has recovered from a serious error" running the games at a low quality helped but it still did it from time to time.

I got a new gfx card and a new stick of memory and now its sweet, although it does still happen on the very odd occasion.

i never got any error messages, and it never crashed, it just restarted its self.... it never even logged any errors in event manager, those other two i mentioned related to something else (which ive now fixed).

i think mine was due to the ammount ive been moving it about lately, i think maybe this has caused some parts to become loose, it was in a bumpy car ride from plymouth to london (4hours) and has ben moved around my house about 4 times in a month aswell since getting back here.

as i mentioned taking mine apart, cleaning everything out and rebuilding it seems to have solved the problem, i also swithced the ram to the other channel on my motherboard, and my cpu fan had become slightly loose which has now been reattached firmly.

check all your parts are attached firmly in place and that there isnt a load of dust with your CPU fan like mine.
