I have recently acquired an ALBA TRDAB2820 DAB radio for use in a bathroom - a snip at £30 in TJ Hughes's stores.

There is no mains socket in the bathroom so I have to use 6 x R14 / C size 2300mAh NIMh cells and it is a very heavy drain on the UniRoss's which need recharging every three or four days - and that with little length of use. Alkalines fare better but obviously become expensive over time.

So, what rechargeables would I be better off getting - I'm assuming that 2300mAh isn't "powerful" enough. Are there better formulations than NiMH (NiPo, perchance?) or better "ratings" than 2300mAH in any formulation?

Your advice would be very much appreciated, mon tres bon amis! :)
