Default Remotely connecting to server help please

Oki Doki , I recently aquired a home server running xp pro. Ive installed log me in
on it and when it is online its fine connect no problem, but when I reboot it , the
user name prompt comes up on the screen of the server , so I have to input it before I can access it from another pc using log me in. Ive had a look in the control panel but cant see how I turn it off ie so that when it reboots it doesn't need me to put my user name in.
I want to be able to disconnect the monitor mouse and keyboard from it so it can sit there all day on its own but if I want to reboot I won't have to put my user name in
    Hope it make sense
This is going to be a temp setup until windows home server is released proper.
    thanks

btw the server and the pc are on the same network router

how far away is the pc from the server? a kvm switch could be the answer if only a few meters. you could control both with the same keyboard, mouse and monitor at the flick of a switch.

switch terminal server on and connect from your other pc

why do you want it to log in without you entering a username/pwd anyway?

there's actually a reg hack for xp so that it auto logs in, just google it
You see, TheThingIs, eventually you'll be all right!

If there is only 1 user account on the server machine then just turn off passwords and it will login straight to the desktop.

thats what Ive ended up doing
by googling I found by doing the following

    start
    run
    control userpasswords2
uncheck the users need to enter username\pw to login

so it boots straight in and lets logmein run thus allowing me control, Im going to have a look at remote desktop and have a play with that and see what it does

    thanks for the reply
