    Default New York Hotels

Can anyone recommend any half decent hotels in New York? Looking to spend between £100-£130 per night (staying from 2nd Nov to 5th Nov)

Problem I'm having is (I think) that the NY Marathon is over that weekend so all the decent hotels are either gone or hiking up prices.

    Anyone know of anything??

If you want to go the weekend of the marathon you need to book as soon as the rooms become available. The marathon is on the 4th November. I would change your dates if you can. unless you want to go to the marathon then you will need to pay the prices.

You certainly picked the wrong week!
I went on the 8th November last year and stayed in Beekman Tower, the rooms were great and the staff ere incredibly helpful.

The hotel itself is in walking distance of everything that you would want to see with the exception of Ground Zero and The Statue Of Liberty.

Not sure about availability that week but do a google for it and there are loads of sites that have it on there

    Hope this helps

I can't recommend anywhere but I'd advise against the Edison, it was shit.

I stayed at the Marriott Marquis and i'd recommend it. It is in Times Square and is part of the lights/screns there. Just done a search on their website and a room on 4 Nov is $298 which is about £150, so take a looksie.

Try the hotel Mela just off times square, we stayed there in a studio apartment and it was lovely.. Not badly priced either $258 per night.
