Tomtom on N80 little problem

I have tomtom on my Nokia N80 and it generally works ok, but it seems to keep losing the gps signal from my Holox. Is this just a glitch cos its an N80 (ive seen on some threads ppl saying it doesnt work)or do i need to do something with the Holox or the phone?

Have you got the latest software on your N80 ?

would recommend updating to the latest firmware via the NSU as they did make some imprvements to the bluetooth stack

Hmmm, i updated the phone software about 6-8 months ago, could that be the problem then?

Updating the phone software seems to have worked, only tried on 1 journey but it maintaned a signal the whole way.

How often should i update the tomtom and which files need to done? it keeps beeping as if theres a speed camera but i cant see 1 (im assuming the camera file is out of date)

The speed camera database is released @ every 2 weeks, so you can keep them up to date. Have you set them up in manage POIs on your Tomtom - need to enable them & add a warning sound for each one (see the speed camera thread for more info). Then just keep a watch in here for any new software, maps or postcode files and update as needed.

Do i need to activate the poi's each time i update the cameras?
If i use the single tomtom file does it do all the camers in uk?
Can these camera files be used on ALL tomtom units?

1) - Not if you use the same type of database each time you update them.
2) - Yes
3) - Yes - all units & all versions
