Really strange SKY HD problem

When my sky hd box gets to 50% full i have problem playing recordings of Big Brother it does not affect anything else...

Big Brother seems to record but it won`t play, if i delete some recordings the next night it works fine and seen ass the box gets to 50% full i get the same error any ideas..

Probably be able to get quite a bit for it on ebay.
I'm sure there are plenty of blokes who would love to stop the missus watching that shit

Have you tried deleting everything ? I had problems with playback a while back (not BB though

)
After clearing the hard drive completely, I haven't had any problems since

First try a planner rebuild, if that doesnt work then do a full system reset!

This may sound crazy but I recorded Shaun of the Dead and watched most of it but fell asleep, went to watch it the next day and it was password protected.

I turned the box off over night and it was back to normal the next day.

I have also had a few problems with recordings, but switching the box off at the wall seems to do the trick.

If you have your box on standby all the time, try turning it off at the wall. Stupid, but it may work.

thanks for the pointers well except for toonarmynufc maybe thats what you get 4 letting my missus record shite...

But to give a bit more info

I have done planner rebuilds
I have done full rebuilds

but the problem seems to come back when it hits 50% full

been thinking of taking the HD out and running spin rite on it to see if it got some bad blocks ? but i carn not find a dissemble guide anywhere..

Well i put a 500gb Seagate in it and the next day a changed it for a Samsung because it was soooooo loud, the problem is gone now and the sky box is much fast and responsive than before...

Interestingly the old drive when connected to my pc stops it from booting ??
