On my car I've replaced my headlamps which means that I no longer have a halogen bulb to light up the high beam...the xenons do that now instead.

Problem is that my car is expecting a high beam bulb to be there.

One way around this is to pair up the wires to the high beam bulb thats missing to my fog light bulbs instead, which have the same bulb and same watt rating.

Now this will work, however, say I've got my high beams on and then put my fog lights on..not that this should ever arise as the two don't go hand in hand will I get a cloud of smoke and a blown fuse/bulb or will they work fine.

I pesonally think they will work ok as the signal is still 12v, the power will just be active to light the bulb, the bulb just taking what it can to light up.

Or am I going to shoot 110watts down the wires?

I suppose it's the same principle as having two plugs on a table lamp.
