Record Haul of Chipped Consoles Seized in UK

Police officers have swooped to make the largest ever console chipping seizure in UK history.

The discovery of chipped Wii and Xbox 360 consoles at a residential property was made after officers first raided a tradesman's stall at a Halifax market. When his residence was later searched, West Yorkshire Police unearthed a staggering 246 Wii and 168 Xbox 360 consoles.
Also included in the haul were 19 PSPs, 12 DS Lites, 6 PlayStation 2s and 6 PlayStation 3s, along with other pirating material such as computers used for the duplication of copied discs, illegal chips, 300-400 copied games discs, and £5,000 in cash.
The original operation at the market also resulted in the seizure of over 5000 illegal discs with a retail value of over £50,000.

i was areasted on a seperate matter, and had 7 xbox 360s seizes( all modded) was advised to give no comment and got all of them returned to me along with no charge. even returned my pirated version of ghost recon ( guess my printer did a convincing cd print lol)

I've seen this guy load's of time's at the Halifax car boot sale,he did'nt give a shit about being open in his sale of modified console's and game's,gonna get caught sooner or later,used to come to my local shop's and buy 20-30 console's at a time and pay CASH!He got caught so tough shit.

Unless he's got a well paid job and can prove the £5K wasn't from console modding, he can kiss it goodbye.

I think the law is starting to get serious with console modding and I wouldn't be surprised if the bloke ends up in jail.

I dont think he will get done, the old bill are more bent the the people they arrest, i bet most of those consoles "vanished" before the station, i did some work in a station years ago fitting cctv, left my drills on the floor in a hall,one of the old bill came over to me and said dont leave it lying around mate, it will be gone for sure..

When i used to buy PSX copies (before i even owned a PC) i knew a guy who used to sell 'psx golds' as they were called back then to a copper and he then sold them on in the station! Dunno if he ever got shopped, i got my own pc n stuff soon after.

I know he did get all his stuff taken away at one point but that was because his wife found out he was meeting birds off the internet and she got so violent they had to take his 3 PCs away to look for evidence!

I wouldn't take 5 whole plants! I dont smoke weed any more, but even when I did, I would only take a few buds for a couple of joints off each plant, but thats about it! I mean you can get a good few ounces from 1 plant alone!
