dunno mate to be honest, but the lad has taste.

The K800i is easily the best phone i've ever owned. The camera is excellent, the mp3 player is great, texting is very easy, the games are good and easily available... plus it makes the odd phone call or two as well!!

    This might help?
    themobile**************
says phones4u is the cheapest at £129.99 when bought with £10 credit. Other places i've seen say £140+, even Kelkoo says £140+

the link have it for £99.99. Enter the following code: PAYASYOUGO10 for a further 10% off knocking it down to £89.99. if you're with quidco you can use them and get some cash back too

    http://www.thelink.com/index.php?pag...duct_id=136836

It's most likely it will be locked to vodafone. Not sure if it can be unlocked though. Can someone confirm this please ?

At that price I'm tempted to buy one myself although i don't really need another phone ! *L*

didn't think it could be unlocked 2die4?

You might have to run that past Termy or someone in the unlocking forum before taking the plunge on that one.

ah ok ! sorry for any confusion caused, not up to speed about SE phones so just presumed it could be done via remote unlocking or some other method ! Suppose you could always give vodafone a bell and see how much it would be for the unlock code too if the worst came to the worst.

Cheers for pointing it out though m8, have ammended my post to avoid any other confusion and hopefully someone in the know can confirm this

Think vodafone will unlock it for £15 but that leaves their branding on there, altho I'm not sure how heavy that is Rich.

DavinciTeam can unlock and debrand the phone but it is not that cheap. You will need to use the USB cable provided in the box.

That method is bia flash patch, which means that if the handset is ever flashed again it will be locked back up.

Vodafone will charge £15 for a code that will unlock the handset permenantly.

Apparently the Vodafone branding will block certain things, like being able to use MP3s as ringtones and a few other minor things.

You may also find that thses handsets COULD be the newer CID version, which is CID 53. If it is this version then it can only be unlocked via the code method. If the handset is CID 49/51 then it can be done via the flash patch method.

Hope this clears a few things up, lol.

No mystery why the best value PAYG phones at the minute seem to be Voda, othewise people wouldn't put up with the branding.

Unfortunatly you wont get it done on the market unless they have an internet connection. These are unlocked via servers m8.

Also, it will only be unlocked via flash patch, this means that if it is ever upgraded/flashed it will be locked again.

The codes will permanantly unlock it.

Hi m8, no its not fooked but just locked back to the original network. This will then need to be unlocked and whoever does it will charge you again as it is done via server (thats where the internet connection is needed)

I have been informed this morning that there are still places charging upto £45 to unlock these handsets, esp the w880i.

If you get really stuck then PM me for the details and I can do it for you.

    Cheers M8,

One last question.... (maybe something i've missed)

Once the phone has been unlocked (so that i can use a 02 sim) why would it then suddenly lock itself? I'll only ever use either a t-mobile or 02 sim in the phone.

Sorry to come arcross as being dense.

    Cue.

the phone is not permanently unlocked it will be fine as long as you don't use the sony ericsson website to flash it again this will relock it.

Its perfectly fine as long as you don't go upgrading the software. The unlock is temporary because its basically fooling the software to allow to accept all sim cards. like flashing a 360
