Flashing Green Light -VM & Eurovox

Hi Newbie here looking for a bit of help.
I have had a Eurovox for about 1yr also have VM box hooked up via a splitter. The problem is the green light on the front of the VM box keeps flashing and will only stop and go solid if i re-set the box. this then only lasts for max of about 1 hour till it starts flashing again. This is not too much of a problem but stops me from watching VOD on the VM box as no signal. i have looked in the settings and when the cable is split the return path is off. when i take out the splitter and just have th VM box conected it is fine. I guess i need a splitter that will allow the return path top stay on any advice??
