I believe the scientific phrase for this answer is...

i'd say -21degC because 21 is official room temperature, so if its 21degrees colder than that to be 0 then it needs to be another 21 degrees colder to make it twice as cold

you could say it needs to be half as hot in order to be twice as cold so you could take it to the kelvin scale, where 0 really does mean 0 hot and thus getting cassys result (-137degC), which seems to be a bit more believable to me but thats definitely not what a normal human would mean by the phrase "twice as cold"

halfing hotness isnt really coldness anyway, since you havent doubled the amount of coldness. you'd need an absolute hot temperature the same as there is an absolute cold one, then double how far away you are from it, but that is going to take you to below absolute zero anyway thus fucking up the whole thing

if it's 0, twice as hot as 0 will be 0.

You multiply 0 by anything it's still going to be 0.

However, if you use C and F then you could get another answer, but I'm sticking with 0

zero what? You will have to convert to another scale and then do the maths and then convert back. Can't do bugger all with zero.

    So 0C = 32F

    We can work with 32.

Twice as cold would be 16F. Then convert back to C.

If you are working in degrees C, then it would be -9
