    Serious Corn Snakes

Sorry if this is in the wrong section ... think we need a pet secetion.

Anyone here got a corn snake or any other exotic pet?

Got my corn yesterday and a bit worried as he doesnt seem as active as he was yesterday. Yesterdday when I handled him, you could tell that he was strong and healthy. Today though he just doesnt seem to be interested. I belive the viv is at the right temp (Just under 80 degrees fahrenheit, so about 25 degress celcius).

The guy at the shop said he gets fed every tuesday so he might be hungry. I aint got any UV lighting up and use natural light so it might be that.

Or it might be just because hes tired and im being paranoid

(I call him a he but im not actully sure)

my corn snake is pretty unactive most of the time

they are like this especially when babies, they will hide 95% of the time. as they get bigger they get bolder. remember that in the wild a baby snake is food for almost everything

mine doesnt really like being lifted out of her tank but once she's out she is fine. perhaps try just lifting him out and see how he is after a bit. remember to handle them every day too, so they grow up acustomed to humans

here's the thread i made when i first got mine http://digital-forums.com/showthread.php?t=317569

Its a dark time for my snake tonight... Full details below.

    http://cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57854

Basiclly ... he got out and got under the viv. I admittly stupidly lifted it up but put it down to get help. This must of really hurt his neck as he wont move it now and is barley moving. I'd be suprised if he makes it through the night
