"Dave" the greastest channel ever

Not sure if anyone else has noticed but new channel has come on freeview called "Dave"

its the grestest chennel ever looking at what it has on for example QI, Red dwarf, have i got news for you, never mind the busscocks, top gear, ray mears and the greatest of all shows The origanl and best british version of whose line is it anyway.

and i know they have just renamed uktv g2 but calling it Dave is just genius

It's one of those class channels for when there's fuck all else on you can pretty much rely on it showing something that you can watch and not feel bored by. I prefer Dave+1 though, better programmes.

I saw an advert for this in the Guardian today, it has "the new best channel" "Dave"

I was like...is it called Dave or is that a program, or is the advert for people called Dave??

it didn't actually say that it was called Dave, it simply said "Dave"

I actually thought that the Radio times had made a ballsup... Sunday it was listed as UK G2... then on Monday it changed to "Dave". I thought someone at RT was having a laugh until I checked the channel... and sure enough its called "Dave"

thats ace if its been added to freeview. and calling anything dave is cool too. its a good answer to lots of things, ie mum/wife/girlfriend/teacher/boss holds up a dirty plate/halfdone DIY/bad attempt at some work/etc. and says "and what do you call this?" "oh, that's dave". comedy gold every time

for sky viewers its no real change though, still the same great shows.

only problem is that they seem to still show 3 programmes on a loop all day then another three programmes on a loop all night. its a right pain in the arse when you see another QI episode on at 11 and realise its the same as the one you watched at 9. and the adverts are appauling, especially noticable on things originally done for the bbc. a half hour show can take 45 minutes by the time they've spliced in the adverts

i'm super happy its on freeview though, means i can watch it on my pc or the other tv when other people are hogging the sky. fan-fucking-tastic.

I feel gutted now! I used to call everyone 'Chief', but that had to be changed once it got a bit gay, so then I re-named everyone as Dave in the past few years. Now UKTV G2 needs to compensate me with a new name!

My mate Dave will be so pleased...especially as he`s been studying in Sydney for the last 4 yrs (Doctorate) and then they name a British TV station after him...class! He`ll be even more impressed Swansea are top of League 1.

Maybe they can start naming all channels like this for instance mtv2 called slash, itv called simon (since i think cowell spends most of his time on it) five US could be called chuck. and sci fi be kirk.
