Nah, matey has a 735 that says 735 on the back and on the log book but site said 730. I know what you mean tho, whats the point in naming cars by engine size if you're not gonna do it right. Was surprised when me old man bought a c200k few weeks ago and it turned out to be a 1.8, and looking around it seems like merc have really lost their consistency in naming models.

On another note, I saw a poster in a police station that mentioned the askmid site so I'm guessing it must be legit and have some legit way of gaining access to the motor insurance database. This surprises me as the site looked ok but not as stupidly flash as I would expect if the govt had the chance to squander millions on it.

Yep, yr right. But it was definitely a TDI Golf when I first checked.

Fuck, you could probably buy 10 new focuses for the cost of that plate (I think).

I just checked the guy's plate up the street that hit my dads car this morning and his Volvo S40 Auto (according to the site) looks a lot like Ford Focus.

DVLA tax check thing shows it as a a 1.6 silver Ford paying £185 a year tax ouch

I wonder why he said he didnt want to involve his insurance company?

I'd definitely report the clown to be honest. Something very fishy going on there. What if the next thing he hits is a kid and maims it on a hooky car that isn't what DVLA think it is?

    This database is not accurate.

I tried with a few number plates of mine and friends and only about half came back correct.

I have stolen money from a DF member and a member of Disqworld. All my personal details including families details are on file and will be made public to everyone if I do not refund the money I stole or send the goods I promised. My name will be ravaged across the net and the consequences will be severe if I do not sort this fucking mess out.
