2008 Passat parking brake ECU

Right VW want 1200 quid to fit a new one in my 2008 Passat 1.9 TDi. If I find the part number I can get one and have it fitted by an independent a lot cheaper. Anyone know where I can get the part number? VW will not tell me. Cunts.

Had a new switch and been in the VW stealers. They reckon its fucked. Calipers are alright and has had a new switch.

If it can be scanned with VCDS you'd be able to get the part number of the module and do some output tests, calipers included.

Where in the country are you ? I can recommend a place in the NW for a second opinion

if you are anywhere near Blackburn I can do a scan for you to get the correct part number..

Nice one guys. Stealers quoted wrong price and have now offered to do the job for 350 inc labour and refunding switch and diags. Reasonably happy. Am in Lytham so will bear that in mind Tim Lad.
