    Default Google ranked 4th - How so?

    Put 'web design' into Google and it will put down 221 million results. I noticed this site is ranked 4th:

    http://futureofwebdesign.com/ - Just images.

    Nothing in header to help:

    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="css_holding/main.css" type="text/css" />
    <title>Future of Web Design - New York 2008</title>
    </head>
    Sooooo what gives lol

    The domain name will add relevance, lots of inbound one way links from relevant sites (http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en...G=Search&meta=)

    and it's probably viewed as an authority on the subject by Google given it's purpose and past content:

    I think you meant http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en...G=Search&meta= (without the space between link: and the url)

    Still a load of incoming links will certainly help

    Just amazed that it holds 4th. I guess that the pages behind the entry page overrides the typical beliefs about how the index should be formed. Interesting.

    Thanks chaps.

    And suck me LT
