When I get my HD tv I want to connect a media PC to it. My PC has a DVI-D and the AV reciever will have HDMI.
Do you see any problems if I simply use a DVI-D to HDMI lead?

DVI-D and HDMI are essentially the same. HDMI also carries audio whereas DVI is more like a monitor connection and requires seperate sound. DVI will also carry a HDCP signal for movies and stuff so you should be fine

I believe they are basically the same thing except hdmi has copy protection. That way round should be fine, but I think if you wanted to watch an hd source on a dvi monitor you may run into problems.
HDMI and DVI can both carry the HDMI copy protection signal. My graphics card will output HDCP over DVI without a problem.
