Nintendo DS Crimson DS Question (Charging)

I want to but a crimson ds from ebay like this one:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Brand-New-Crim...QQcmdZViewItem

I am just worried about charging it and the different voltages. I already have 2 ds lites, so have uk charges, but does anyone know for deffinete these will charge the ds lite without blowing it?!

The reason I am concrened is, i bougt a GB advance from Hong Kong a fair few years go, and charged it with uk plug and luckily I was at home at the time, as i heard a crack, checked the GBA and the battery had burst and forced off the battery cover!! Luckily the unit was ok, but had to buy a new battery.

    Thanks in Advance.

Won't you get a new charger with the new DS?

It should be fine using a UK charger to charge it. My first DS was a JAP import, I just binned the supplied 110v charger and got a 220v euro one and it worked fine.

mate dont worry about it! The DS charges off of 5.2v (thats what my charger says)! What the charger does is take in the power from the mains and lowers the voltage from 230v to 5.2v, then sends it onto the DS!

So even if you plugged a US charger into a UK socket, it would be the charger, and not the DS that got fried!

But seeing as you have a UK charger you should be fine! Just have a look at your US charger and check that it says "5.2v, 450mA". That's what my UK one says on its "spine", so if your US one says the same then you are 100% safe!
