Button issues ultimatum to Honda
Button still only has one Grand Prix win to his name in eight seasons
Jenson Button has warned the Honda F1 team that he will not accept another season of underachievement in 2008.
Button won a meagre six points in 2007, while team-mate Rubens Barrichello failed to get off the mark for the first time in his F1 career.
"The car was a complete dog, and I'm just not interested in racing like this any more," he told the Mail on Sunday.
"I'd love to win the title with Honda but I've got to start winning, and if I don't then I have to be ruthless."
Button revealed: "There's an option in my contract which means we can all sit down and discuss the future at the end of the season.
I can't be bothered with working my nuts off and qualifying 14th any more

"It things don't work out, that's exactly what I'll be doing. I'm not saying I expect to win the world title (in 2008), but I do expect a dramatic improvement."
Button, 27, was left frustrated as Lewis Hamilton became the new idol of British F1 fans with a sensational first season at McLaren.
"I'd be lying if I said I didn't wish I'd been in Lewis's position this year, but it's not because it's Lewis or that he's British," he claimed.
"If I'm not winning, I don't give a damn who else is. It doesn't make any difference to me (who is winning) if I'm not in a competitive car.
606: DEBATE
Is Button right to air his grievances in public?
"I can't be bothered with working my nuts off and qualifying 14th any more. It's making me unhappy."
Button will be racing in his sixth season with Honda next year, having been with the team since it was known as BAR in 2003.
"I want to win races, and if I get a car that allows me to do that I'll take the chance and become world champion," said the Englishman.
"But if I never get a car that's quick enough I've got no chance."
Button has only won one Grand Prix since making his F1 debut for Williams in 2000.
