wpa encryption with a decent pass key will be more than fine

nah the SSID is the name of the connection you are connecting to, so you could set your router up to be "Jag's Wifi"
I'm talking about the pass phrase that is required which is basically just a password that you enter when connecting,
people can try and brute force it, so if you use a strong password you have very little chance of someone breaking in

Remember and change your routers password ,mac address filtering is also an option .
you are more or less safe with wpa, its highly unlikely someone will try to break in when there are probably many open networks near you
Fook i know less than i thought some readin to do
thanks
