    Default Do I need to reinstall windows ?

    Hi

    I currently have a AMD 64 3000+ and am upgrading to a X2 4000. Can I just pop it in or will I need to reinstall xp ?

    Try it mate, you may need to run a repair install though.

    No, you won't need to reinstall windows if you just change the processor (or ram)

    I was thinking about a repair install, seems like a good compromise
