    Serious Started the gym again...

After a break of about 7-8 months from any excercise i realised it needed to be done now. I joined the gym about 3 weeks ago now and have been going 3-4 times a week
im doing around 18 minutes on the xtrainer, 10 on treadmill at speed 6 and then around 15 minutes light weight training.
The thing is i dont know whether this is effective way of losing weight as im doing this on a Wednesday, Friday (not on the odd occasion), Saturday and Sunday.
I weigh around 94 kg and im 5 10', my main aim is to come down to around 75-80 kg, so i wanted to know what the best way of doing this was and also any tips.

    Thanks in advance

Sounds okay to me, a good start if anything else.

What is your diet like? How many meals a day/what are they?

    Hi
3 meals a day is no good to start, you need at least 5 or 6 small quality meals a day and do not snack, you should find no reason to snack if you plan your meals well, this will increase your metabolism and weight loss should happen, you should think about using weights as well as cardio as weight loss when doing cardio will only occur when your heartbeat raises above a certain level, i would suggest doing weights to build up overall muscle for a set period of time, then doing cardio for a set period of time, you could try every other day training for each programmes, but i seriously think a good diet will help you shift those unwanted pounds mate. Watch your carb intake late at night. And remember to drink lots of water.

    Good Luck
