    Default Watch the road surfaces

Had a slide at an Island last weekend apparently diesel spill and with rain on Saturday the place was like an Ice rink.
Following only yesterday my m8 slipped on his bike too at the end of the street on wet leaves and another diesel spill.
Both now off road awaiting repairs , sore ribs ,hurt hands and pride so just be careful out there !!!!!

Yep, my wheels went 90 deg just last night, swear down I check the roads and im waiting for this but this caught me unawares, was hardly moving but both wheels went straight on while the bike turned but it suddenly gripped enabling full recovery, was very greasy or fine sand on the road at a junction road hump.

I've noticed most mornings theres more diesel on the roundabouts near me than normal, someones filling up too far, pain in the arse for bikes.

    safe riding

I had same problem last weekend too. slow speed, from stopped at a junction, wheel started spinning and sliding into the kerb. Managed to close the throttle and catch it though, but only been out once since. No idea what happened, just slid, no sign of diesel, ice, leaves or anything else, except mibbe tar banding in the middle of the road. Woke me RIGHT up tho. Never been a fair weather biker, but shit like that makes you think twice, and I don't ever remember the roads being as slippy as they are now either.

I wiped out on my aprillia mille last year because of diesel on the road... Was only going 10-15mph round a tight corner and the front wheel washed out... The bike spun round on the crash mushroom and went backwards thru a wooden fence.... I'd got up and was chasing it to try to stop it but didnt get there in time.... I personally wasn't hurt (apart from my pride) But the bike cost a small fortune to repair and i wore a hole thru the arm of my jacket... I blame the bloody lorry drivers

Nice F2P, think I saw some sapre panels on ebay yesterday, same colour as yours.
At least you got up and walked away, I've just had all the metel work removed from below my right knee last Tuesday, after it was fitted 3 years ago, it looks a bit ugley with 24 staples in there but I'm determined I 'll be back on my zx9 again befor the new year.
