According to CVG, the Video Marketplace arrives in the UK next week

Ahh good news. I loved the USA video market place but buying points from Ebay was a right pain in the ass. I'm only interested in the HD content and its cheaper than buying HDDVD and buying films etc.

Fair enough BUT when you sell or move on from your 360 how do you remove the content you've paid for, you'd still be able to sell the HD DVDs for something or use them elsewhere.

would you sell your 360 AND the hard drive would guess not even if they bring out say a 1tb drive you would get the cable to transfer it

Microsoft has finally revealed details for the European Xbox Live Video Marketplace - and it's coming next week!

December 11 is the date us Europeans will be able to rent movies from Xbox Live Marketplace, which will include films such as Harry Potter, Training Day and The Matrix.

Films will cost 380 Microsoft Points (£3.23) for the lovely 720p versions and 250 (£2.13) for ugly SD ones. Once downloaded you've then got 14 days to start watching a film, but once you've started watching you're then on a 24 hour countdown until it's deleted.

It's basically an online rental service, like the US Video Marketplace that's been going for a few months.

I'm sure it won't be long before someone works out how to do it, but in saying that were are the hacked arcade games?

Probably just as easy to d/l the already ripped versions of these movies.

i'm fairly new to the 360, but if you've got this lovely 120GB HDD and these films expire and you can't copy files (mp3 or divx or whatever) directly to the HDD what's the point in the big HDD - apart from to fill with demo's and extra maps?

or am i missing the point somewhere?

Why do you need 120gb if they delete after 24hrs?

For the TV shows that do not expire from what I can see?
Maybe you can buy another 24 hour rental of the movie rather than d/l it again (seems pointless though...)

yep you keep the tv shows and the films only delete 24 hours AFTER you start watching it not from when you download
