Buying son PS3 for Xmas - which games should I buy?

Hi Folks
Buying my 13yr old a ps3 for xmas - he already has a "modified" 360 so he has a lot of games for that - so what I need to know is which games are worth buying for the PS3 that arent already out on the 360 (as he`ll mostlikely already have them)

So far I`ve bought him Resistance and that new Drakes Fortune game I was also thinking about time crisis 4? can anyone else tell me some good games to look out for (buying most of them off ebay if poss) he like mostly any type of games except RPGs

Motorstorm is a great game.... exclusive to the PS3

Time Crisis 4, I havn't played it yet, but I really enjoyed Time Crisis 3, so the 4th one will most likely be more of the same!

Other than that, get him a Jap copy of GT5: Prologue from YesAsia.com (game isn't released in the UK or US till approx March 2008, link to GT5: Prologue here), Jap games DO work on the PS3, so dont worry about it on that front!

However, if you want to get him a copy of GT5: Prologue then you'll need to order pretty sharpish, cos its gonna be coming from Hong Kong...

However, as with the PS2 days, if you are connecting the PS3 to a SDTV then you will need a full RGB scart lead (a PS2 one works if you already have one), otherwise Jap and US games will play in black & white...

Other than those 3 games and MotorStorm as mentioned above, I can't think of any games suitable for a 13 year old on the PS3. If you dont mind him playing 18's then get him Resistance: Fall of Man, I would say its no worse than Call of Duty, but the enemy are aliens instead of Germans...

EDIT: Just realised that Time Crisis 4 is only out in the US for now...we have to wait until March 2008 to get that....so thats another game that has to be imported (this time from the USA)! You can buy it from here (price included the lightgun).

As someone mentioned before, Heavenly Sword. Its good graphically and pretty taxing at times (might just be me though!! ) but is a bit short

Another vote for motorstorm, its great for the first few weeks,

Everybodys golf 5 is nice to pick up and play too, Jap menus though.

Skate, In my opinion is great, you may have iton 360 already though..

I thought resistance was utter shite and sold it within 24 hrs of buying it! but then i can't play FPS on a console for toffee..

only game ive played on ps3 i liked was war hawk, really love this game, get him that, as for motorstorm cant see why everyone likes it, its a poor game and a really poor racer, dont bother with it, as he has a "proper" 360 he prob has a load of good drivers anyway
