Attention Why does some games from other regions simply do not work?

According to the Wii Region Compatibility List, about a fourth of the Wii Games do not work on other regions than it's own, but there is no stated reason. To me, it seems random which games work and which doesn't.
If there is a known way to make a game even more secure against downloading, there is no reason not too use it.

I'd like to know if upcoming games is going to have this kind of protection, particularly SSBB, which's Europe release is delayed.

Its not deliberate as far as i can tell, if it was then surely mario galaxy wouldn't have worked.

Its something to do with video mode differences, maybe certain games are developed using certain software that needs adjusting for foreign regions. Either way theres nowt we can do about it at the moment.
