hi, i no you say your looking for a decent hotel but at that time of year the rooms go for crazy prices what about a travel lodge theres plenty of them there clean have sky tv and are cheap ,they also have on site parking ,edinburgh has an excellent public transport system and for £2.50 a day you can jump on or off any of the lrt buses .or there are an abundance of taxies , black cabs and private so why not save your money m8 and buy more beer ? have a great new year
    regards cyclone

    Hi mate

I haven't stayed there for some time but there is an abundance of b&b's in Corstorphine which is only about a mile away from Princess Street. It's just on the outskirts from the East side.

Too be honest I think you'll be struggling but you may get a Travelodge etc. Most people would have snapped these up months ago though probably.

I found that lots of places both in Edninburgh and Glasgow make use of local NCP carparks and you pay to use them some are discounted some arn't and parking in Edinburgh is really expensive, especially during the day. good luck getting somewhere especially after leaveing it so late.
