Xbox 360 New Line Follows Warner Bros. and Goes Blu

    From blu-ray.com:

Following Warner's lead, sister company New Line has confirmed that it will support Blu-ray Disc high def releases exclusively. New Line has previously delayed their day-and-date new releases on HD DVD due to the format's lack of region coding, effectively making titles such as Shoot 'em Up, Hairspray, and Rush Hour 3 exclusive to Blu-ray.
    Another blow to HD-DVD

Typical, only got my HD-DVD player about 2 weeks ago now they're dropping like flies Good thing i've got a PS3 as well and a stack of bluray movies to watch on it

tbh i'd just be happy with the end to the whole HD sillyness, dont really give a damn who "wins" the format war, just want to be able to buy all the films i want in HD, simple as that.

Yes it can play movies in the right format. You just put them in a folder named VIDEO on your USB HDD and it will run fine.

Can any of this actually be confirmed? it would be so easy for some sonyfanboy to make the rumors and it speculates all over the internet

It should have been obvious since day one Sony would win this war. PS3 with Blu-Ray means more Blu-Ray players in homes and a large installed user base.

Faced with the choice of downloading a HD movie from the luxury of my front room, than going to town finding somewhere to park and purchasing a movie, i think the download will win everytime.

Thing is with this report it stinks of propoganda seeing as they are the sister company of warner, they announce what they would have done anyway on a separate date & generate two headlines for the price of one.
