acer laptop

hi guys after a bit of advice my neighbours duaghter got a laptop for xmas but the touchpad doesnt work anymore she has to use a normal mouse any ideas looked in device manager to see if there is any conflict any1 got any ideas could it be that her plugging in external mouse it has disabled touchpad any help please

A lot of Acer's have a touchpad on/off function key. Look along the F1-F12 buttons, I think it's F7 normally. Press Fn and F7. Hopefully that'll switch it back on.

Agree with the above was working with one on Friday from power up no touchpad turned on with FN and one of the keys (maybe own silver key) along top .. couldnt tell you model but point of post is the touchpad had been turned off , so iam sure its just a case of finding the correct key to enable it

Yup FN and F7 on my Acer as well.

hi guys sorry been out all day all right fn and f7 was trying to sort it out over the phone so wasnt as easy as i couldnt c the lappy but thanks again
