    Default Missing file

My little cousin has been having problems with his Vista PC. It won't boot up as he's getting an error message about a missing file (File:\windows\system32\drivers\volsnap.sys)

It also mentions something about status: Oxc0000221

He has no back up disc so I'm thinking can I just copy that file from mine on to a cd and it'll boot up?

I'm certainly no expert so I'd appreciate some help.

I've done that kind of thing a few times in the past and it's always worked for me.

Just run a repair from the Vista DVD, otherwise you have to go down the using a boot CD that wil read the Vista HD, copying the file across etc.
If you have the Vista DVD the repair has to be the easiest option.
