Clinton did a similar thing, to a lesser extent, with a bunch of his 'associates' that had been indicted for serious fraud and suspect financial dealings. Pardoned them all before he left office.

No sympathy whatsoever for the US electorate. You get who you deserve.....if you're fucking stupid enough to vote for this cunt and his handlers, then re-elect them 4 years on you really do deserve to have the worst administration any country has seen in modern history.

But as my exasperated American friends keep telling me, we didn't vote this fucker in. In both elections >50% of the popular vote went to the other guy. But what continually skews it in Bush's favour is the electoral college system which gives amplified voting power to the largely republican middle American states.

Again, no sympathy. The electorate should have taken to the streets on mass and demanded change by whatever means were required. But they put their trust in their elected officials and the supreme court, who are at the heart of this corrupt form of government and simply accepted the outcome with little or no fight.

The Democrats have a lot to answer for, they don't have the stomach for a fight and they have every intention of maintaining the status quo. Senators and congressman have too much to lose from both sides of the political divide.

When they kick the lobbyists out of Washington and fund political campaigns from public funds, then there will be change. But that won't happen in our lifetime........

Yes yes, good move, after all, all those people effected and thier familes will most definatly NOT feel anger and want revenge. They will rest easy knowing no one can be held accountable and it is all over.

    WILL THEY FUCK,

it is this type of action that can (and may well) allow the seperatist islamic people to get more people onboard.

This kind of thing shoudl not be allowed, i mean they shoudl not be abel to do this for themsleves.

I hope this getsa coninued press but i am not sure what can be done about it.

    Q

Sorry old boy, I've just realised that this story is over a year old. The bad news is that the Torture bill was passed in Bush's favour in Sept 2006, so now Bush and his cronies are immune from all War Crimes charges.

Here is how the voting went, amazingly 12 Democrats voted to save Bush's arse.

This is why I've always said terrorist are a bit stupid. Instead of killing civilians, if they killed leaders who really step out of line with a firm message the same will happen to the successor if he takes the piss....

Before anyone says it's impossible, remember when Bush visited london, he was bricking it so hard he wouldn't go anywhere without I think it was 2 pints of his own blood. One well placed sniper....

Terrorists killing civilians will only breed hatred on our side. If they cleaned up our corrupt parliaments, who knows, they might actually receive public backing from us.

Just out of interest, so what would you think of the claim by some terrorists that civilians are fair game for voting for bad leaders and financing atrocities.

I think it's that kind of fcuked up logic that loses them any kind of sympathy from rational thinkers in the west.

Global terrorism, especially islamic terrorism is a product. Manufactured and sold just like any other product. And to extend that further, so is war itself. It's simply a product that is bought and sold across the globe. I really don't take any of it at face value and neither should you.

Every facet of our existence is based on man's continuous struggle for control. It is all encompassing and nothing else matters. The illusion of freedom is reality.
