What connection is this?

Really wasn't sure where to put this, thought here might be best for the sake of most peeps reading it.

As some of you know I am on a quest to make a device that can record my explores, Ideally a pocket AV recorder that I can plg different cameras in to record from.

The best device I have found that can do it as standard is the Archos DV500 but these are too expensive. So I have taken apart my Nisi Pocket DV2 camera, removed the camera and I have found this femal connection on the back of the camera:



I hope that if I can find a AV cable with this femal adapter at one end and standard AV plugs on the other end I can use this to capture my video. Does anyone know what this connection is called? Or of a AV cable with this at one end and standard AV plus at the other end?

That would be an IDC connector.

I doubt you will find what you are looking for, but doesn't hurt to try.

Cheers for that mate, alternatively I could always make one if I knew what connections go where but I wouldn't know where to start. I believe the connecter will only be able to record video as the mic is separate. I can always add a mic to the other connection quite simply though, this is the hard part
