Default Off to one of Ramsey's gaff's tonight

The missus is treating me for my 30th (Already bought me a 400d camera!).

Tonight i'm off to Petrus one of Ramsy's gaff's in Knightsbridge. Getting all suited up at work and heading off for a 10:30 sitting!!, if you see a prick in a suit around the West End tonight it's me lol.

I'll report back on the food tomorrow

If you fancy it, Gordon's "Gordon Ramsey on Hospital Street" as a set menu, and the last time I checked it was £25 per head - not bad at all for one of the most celebrated chef's around.

Have a good night mate, and happy birthday

I don't know where she has got the cash from? The Camera cost over £300! Were looking at about £100 per head at least tonight.

Tell me about it! I've only had a bowl of Branflakes and a 'lighter option' Chicken and Bacon sarnie from Tesco's today (With Encona Sauce whacked on it )

Not much to eat yesterday either after been hungover as we celebrated on Saturday night running into the afternoon of yesterday lol.

No it's one of his former souse chef's who runs the show. I think it's the guy who accompanies him on the F word a lot.

OK, it was fantastic! Wow! So much food I don't think I can eat today at all!

We got to the Berkeley at around 9pm and had a drink in the Blue Bar. 5* Nibbles and 5* Prices on the drinks (Peroni £6.50 a bottle, Vodka and Coke £14 lol), but it was nice. Our table was available a little early so we moved into Petrus at about 9:50, bumping into Danny Dyer who was eyeing my Bird and my mates bird up lol (Cockney tosser he is lmfao, the birds love him for some reason??).

Anyway the wine list turned up and we chose a bottle of £32 white which was the cheapest on the menu, what tight arses we are. Then this is where I didn't know what was going on! They just kept brining us canapés, bloody awesome! Foie gras bite's, onion crisps with creamy houmas, Celery soup in a shot grass with some other ingredients... all fabulous!

So time to order, I went for the starter of Foie gras Pan fried with chestnut purée, fig compote, roasted chestnuts. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! It tasted just like one of the best steaks you have ever had, but not a steak! Then came another in between course of bread and anther shot of something I could not remember the name of.

Then it was main time, I went for Best end of salt marsh lamb Braised shoulder, caramelised shallot and fennel, Pommery mustard done medium/rare. What can I say! Melt in your mouth! Some nice crackling on the top just made it awesome. We did sit there for a while wondering if they were going to bring out some chips and veg lmfao, but no... It wasn't needed. A couple of the other guys got the Norfolk suckling pig
Cooked for twenty four hours, braised chicory, pommes mousseline which tasted unbelievable!

So time for another inbetween, some small desert in another shot glass, honeycombe in a (something or something) anyway very tasty and at this point I was at bursting point! They brought the cheese table (yes table!) over to which we looked at each other and all said No thankyou lol, which took us to Desert ordering.
I went for Vanilla Cream, pear sorbet with apples and walnuts. I not a sweet eating person so did my best to tackle it. Was really spicy and rich, too much for me but the apple and pear in it was fantastic.

So that must be it you would have thought..... NO! Yet more! They brought the Bon Bon trolley over. Not your papershop by the quarter Bon Bon's though, these were unreal! Again not a sweet lover but they were still tasty. One of the best was a sea salt truffle with caramel! They had praline's, white chocolate with Lemon centre, Dark Chocolate with Passion Fruit Centre and more! The waiter just kept throwing them at us and even gave us a box to take away!!!!

That was it! It was 1am and I was stuffed and knackered! Time for the bill... To be honest it was not bad at all! It came to around £340 between 4 of us (inc tip). When you look at it it's only £85 per person. 3 hours, many courses with wine and water (ok we spent £50 in the bar previously and spent £50 on Taxis) but still, it was not that bad!

It was well worth the experiance, Marcus Wareing is a talented guy! You could not help but wonder though that Gordon might have had a dig at some of the dishes. Everything you see people on Kitchen Nightmares do and Gordon slate, was been done here. But I guess that's what top notch places do and the pub's in the sticks try and fail badly.

Anyone thinking about doing it, do it! I'll be doing it again, not this year lol but I have the taste now!

Just need to win the lottery, then I could get the £45,000 bottle of wine that they had on the menu! Yes £45k!

No mate, no idea his name but it was not him. Some other French bloke though lol

The whole event was a bit overwhelming so names were never going to be remembered.

One thing I was not sure about was was every time some one took our jackets, opened the doors, etc.. .etc... do you tip them lol? We never.
