    Serious Jumper

Movie was ok but lacked a proper storyline to get your teeth into. Tried there best to be like all the other great action/technical movies like the matrix but came out 2nd best.

Would recommend peeps seeing this in the big screen but if needs be wait for the dvd.

    Serious Re: Jumper

Cheers for that buddy, it looked whack on trailers and to advertise its a cross between the matrix and bourne just tempted fate...........pile of shit

When will we have a film worthy of comparing to the The Matrix???????????????

I loved this movie, great storyline that keeps you guessing for obvious reasons.
Jamie bells accent put me off his character a bit but he does do a good job, Hayden is quality, very impressed with his acting (thought he would have been wooden).

Effects are awesome, Sam Jackson plays a tremendous part as you would expect.
Yes theres plot holes like any other film but its well worth the big screen.

Took the wife and she enjoyed it as much as me.

p.s. its nothing like the matrix, comparing this with the matrix is silly tbh.

    pile of dross.

hayden was total shite, as usual. they kind of ignored any character development, instead opting for gratuitous globe trotting and a ridiculous baddy, one of the worst roles ive seen jackson do in a while tbh. you dont really give a shit if him or his bird lives or dies.

only saving grace was billy elliot to bring a bit of humour and spice to things.

even suggesting this is anything comparable to either the matrix or the bourne trilogy is an out and out lie.

who the fu(k are the palladins, and why the fu(k is his mother one? the only explanation for wanting to stop the jumpers was that only god should be omnipotent? pish...

3/10 as the concept was nice and it had some nice effects... shame the rest was hollow rubbish.

Watch a special version of this with slightly dodgy sound but I think I got 99% of it.

The Star Wars guy's character reminds me of his acting in the last of the new SW film - when he plays the petulant 'it's not fair' role.

Interesting idea but could have been much better.

I liked this, it was not a classic by any means, nor was the story line anything to write home about. Classic movie junk food for the brain, and needless to say there will be more of these.

    I concur.

You can normally tell if a movie is shite when DB likes it

Typical hollywood exec wet dream - style over substance.

Fuck that, give me a film that means something anyday of the week.

I thought it was OK. Not much to think about regarding the story which I found a little disapointed really. It did look great even on my screener copy. Worth a watch but don't expect it to be the best film evar

Saw this a few weeks ago, to be honest I thought the idea behind the film was excellent, but poorly executed.

Jackson was pretty piss poor as well, I feel compelled to ask if this one was just a paycheck to him?

I gave it a mid rating because I liked the idea, and the film wasn't a total pile, but it loses marks for the lack of explanation, the lack of character development, and because I have a sinking feeling thet they'll make at least one sequel, which will be one too many.

Utter bobbins and a wank ending and the very sad thing is it is open for many more to come along.

    Pfft.

I thought this was brilliant. Extremely fun sci-fi film, with cool effects and a fair bit of action.

My only criticism is that I think it lacked something that could have made turned it from being a good film to a classic - bit more heart, destiny etc would have done it.

Doesn't look like most agree, but I really enjoyed it

Thought it was ok but nothing special... all the fighting was basically a copy of Nightcrawler in the beginning of Xmen2 trying to kill the President ...

They obviously aim to make a sequel as the story ended very open.

Wouldnt watch it again but enjoyed it the once.

Agreed WalterPill. Sam L Jackson stole the flick, even if he was half heartedly acting..

Good film if just for the idea and effects but it's got nothing to engage me with.
