Help with updating PSP

Right! I have a fat PSP currently running 3.03 OE-C and I want to upgrade it to the latest FW which according to my research is the 3.90 M33. I have d/l the FW installer but when I tried to run it from the PSP it told me that I needed to run the updater from FW 3.52 or higher. I've d/l 3.10 OE-A but that just came back with "Cannot run this game" error message.

So I downloaded 3.52 M33 but the epboot file didn't even show up on the Memory Stick browser via the PSP.

Is there an all in one 3.90 M33 installer that I can just whack on without fu(king around with fiddly intermediary FW updates? Can anyone help me with this and give me a few pointers?

unless you are going to make a magic mem stick and battery that will get you to 3.80m33-5 from this http://exophase.com/files/psp/despertar_cementerio4.rar then do a update on the psp

you need to install this http://exophase.com/files/psp/3.52M33.zip then the update for that fw http://exophase.com/files/psp/M33-1234.zip then the 3.90m33 http://exophase.com/files/psp/390m33.rar then the update for that fw http://exophase.com/files/psp/390m33_2.rar

the error you talked about is the files in the wrong folder or psp set to wrong kernal in recovery menu
