    Question 3G Broadband Question.....

I have an Ericsson P1i on O2 which permanently has 3G attached to it and I regularly use the Internet through the phone. However my phone connects to the net (I think) through WAP still as it's pretty slow.

In light of all the "O2 mobile broadband with free dongle" offers using the 3G service to access the net as well as the blackberry service (which must require a permanent connection) I'm wondering should I not be able to access the net through the 3G service and not off of WAP on my phone and, if I wish, connect my laptop to the net through my phone in the same way?

It's just that I was thinking of signing up for one of the deals in addition to my phone but I'm wondering if I have the capability to do this already.

Yeah, but my point is I want to get off O2 Wap GPRS and start using the 3G service that the Mobile Wireless Dongles use and 3G is attached to my phone so I should be able to shouldn't I?

I know someone with one and all that goes in it is an O2 sim card.
