If your after a cheap "toe-in-the-water" kinda thing (as i was) i'd reccomend the little portable sat suitcase from maplins (£69).
It's very basic but it's got all you need to get started (including a little 45cm dish!) and the reciever is patchable too... ;-)

I'm currently sat here with the dish suckered onto my window watching the F1 practice on Premiere Sport portal! Lovely!

It gets easier the more you do it! Can be a bit fiddly but the reciever has a built in sat meter that beeps when you hit the spot! ;-)

Check my other post about the F1 coverage here (got links to patch etc.):

    hi m8,
what sat box have you got? i have the technomate 1500 and theres a new patch out that auto updates the premiere, polsat,s*xview channels.
its easy to update as well.
for patches try alsat forums(not sure if i can reccomend another forum so if not can a mod edit this post)
with premiere you get some footy,f1,golf programmes
